Here's a sneak peek of the covers of Fictive Press's first two titles to be released in 2017.

With The Foundation of Ethics, Per Brask concludes his Andreas Simonsen trilogy, which Brask has translated from the original Danish. This work explores, in dialogue form, the ancient, all-important question initially debated by the Sophists, Socrates and Plato: Is there a solid foundation for the ethical concept of the good, and if so, what is it?

In October Ferries to Gabriola, "playwright Charlotte Cameron has taken Malcolm Lowry's unfinished novel, October Ferry to Gabriola (a barely fictional account of an episode in his life) as a starting base for an imaginative exploration of the place we all search for—a place for creativity and rebirth. Her brilliant dialogue, as in all good dramas, raises questions; questions about a possible redemption, and this never-ending quest of ours for Paradise." (Naomi Beth Wakan, Inaugural Poet Laureate of Nanaimo and author of On the Arts)
